Events in Pisa April 1-7, 2016

In the city UNTIL 3RD    JULY Palazzo Blu – Lungarno Gambacorti 9 – Special exhibition ” Tirrenia City Cinema – Pisorno / Cosmopolitan 1934-1969”. It tells a story , from a new point of view , in addition to the birth of a city , the tragedy of war and the development of cinema and transformations . The movies , the images of the great stars but also the music , the costumes and the machines will offer through the reconstructions , the history of the cinema in Tirrenia , an exciting and fascinating journey into the life of the Italian society of those thirty-five years.

FRIDAY 1ST  EXWIDE Club Pisa -   Via Franceschi 13 – “NICO GORI & PISAJAZZ SWING 10 – DANCING SWING PARTY – Pisa Jazz 2015/2016”.  Back to the new production PisaJazz and designed by Nico Gori which see the participation of some young musicians of Tuscany accompanied by artists of the Tyrrhenian coast .   SUNDAY 3RD Museo Nazionale di San Matteo -  Piazza San Matteo in Soarta 1 – “UN CAPOLAVORO DEL XIII SECOLO: LA CROCE IN CRISTALLO DI ROCCA”, Marco Collareta’s conference , professor at the ‘ University of Pisa . The topic will be the precious crystal cross of Venetian manufacture fortress, dating back to the XIII Century  and containing a relic of the True Cross . Festive Museum hours: from 8.30 to 13.30 .

SUNDAY 3RD Info Point – Piazza del Duomo, 7 –at 3pm – “A WALK AMONG THE MOST INTERESTING CHURCHES IN PISA”.  A very special tour that includes the discovery of some remarkable churches in the center of the city. The tour will be about the Church of San Sisto , the Church of San Michele in Borgo , the Church of San Frediano and San Nicola . At the end of the tour a sweet surprise for all participants !
